pituitary gland

The pituitary gland is located at the base of the brain. It produces and regulates several hormones that control many of the body's other hormone-secreting glands. These hormones include growth hormone (GH), thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH), adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH), prolactin, follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), and luteinizing hormone (LH).
